David W. Hunt B.V.M.&S. M.R.C.V.S.
David qualified as a vet from Edinburgh University in 1995 and joined the practice since then has overseen the building of the clinic at Poynton and the remodelling of the Woodley clinic to provide 1st class facilities for the care of pets. David has a passion for the technical aspects of veterinary care keeping the practice up to date with the latest facilities. He is married with 3 children and can often be seen around Poynton with Millie & Star the family dogs. His other passion is his MG Midget which he has rebuilt over the past 10 years. David is also an active member of Prestbury Squash Club.
Emma Wynne B.V.Sc M.Sc. M.R.C.V.S.
Emma graduated from The University of Liverpool in July 2011 and spent her first year working in a small animal practice just outside Sheffield. Originally from Wilmslow Emma was keen to return to the Stockport area taking up a position with us in August 2012. She enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Practice but has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery and feline medicine. In her spare time she likes to keep fit by attending a fitness bootcamp and walking her Springer Spaniel ‘Freddie’.
Claire Murray B.V.Sc. M.R.C.V.S.
Claire joined the practice in January 2015 and works part time at all three branch practices. Claire originally hails from Penarth in South Wales and qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the University of Bristol in 2005. After a short spell in a mixed practice Claire spent the next 9 years working in equine practice! Following the birth of her son Connor in 2013, Claire returned to small animal work. Her interests are broad but she enjoys working up complicated medicine cases. She lives at home in Gawsworth with her husband, son and two cats Marley and Bailey! She enjoys playing netball when time allows and baking cakes!
Hannah Bridger B.V.Med.Sci. (Hons) B.V.M. B.V.S. M.R.C.V.S.
Hannah graduated from the University of Nottingham in the summer of 2014 and took her first job in Doncaster. She moved to Bollington last summer and fell in love with the area. Hannah enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine particularly surgery and managing musculoskeletal injuries. She would like to do further training in animal physiotherapy and acupuncture. Hannah spends all of her free time out running, swimming or cycling trying to find the biggest hill she can!

Meet The Nursing Staff
Helen McEntee RVN, Head Nurse
Helen is the most recent member of the team who has joined as Head Nurse. Her clinical expertise lies within emergency and critical care as she has been working for the PDSA for the past 18 years! However, after meeting Martyn she felt the need to settle a bit more. So, they moved from the city 2 years ago and into the surrounding hills to enjoy the thrills of their absolute passion of mountain biking. Helen does this most weekends but when she isn’t able to, she tends to her rather large freshwater aquarium instead!
Helen is conscientious and a very hard worker. She believes in looking after the team here at Hunts and has settled in exceptionally well. In her own words ……”I’ve truly landed on my feet getting this job! David genuinely cares about the patients, clients and the staff and the whole team are focused on animal welfare and an extremely high standard of care.I definitely see a future here working for Hunts Veterinary Clinics and can’t wait to really blossom and start to make a difference!”
Harriet joined the practice in 2014 after graduating from Harper Adams university. She is now a qualified veterinary nurse after completing her training with us. She enjoys long walks out with her Cocker Spaniel.
Jane returned to the practice in 1995 having originally worked at the practice in the seventies before leaving to start a family. Jane is a keen equestrian having two horses of her own and competes regularly in riding club activities. Jane was also a finalist for veterinary support staff of 2012
Lynsay joined the practice in 2007 she has a particular interest in the care and husbandry of rabbits. She lives with her partner Paul, daughter Mia, She has 2 dogs a horse and lots of rabbits!
Angela first joined the practice in September 2008 after many years of working with Children and the elderly. Angela has always had a passion for animals and some of her many pets include ferrets, dogs, Budgies, gerbils, horses and a parrot. She currently works mainly at our Woodley branch surgery.
Lindsey joined the practice in June 2012 as receptionist at the newly opened Cheadle Hulme branch. She has over 25yrs experience in the Veterinary industry.
